Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Grocery Clerk for the Bakery/Deli department to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure safe, fresh products. You will assist the department manager in meeting sales and quality goals while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include preparing orders, suggesting items, managing inventory, and following food safety practices. Prior experience in bakery or deli is helpful and a current food handler permit may be required

Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) prepares items per customer requests using bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials and promotions.
• Provide fresh products at correct portion sizes and monitor inventory.
• Recommend items to customers to meet their needs.
• Operate bakery equipment (refrigerators, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
