Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services is hiring a Part-time Deli Bakery Associate. You will slice meats and cheeses, prepare party trays, stock displays, and help with shipments while maintaining sanitary conditions.

Weekend availability and a friendly, team-focused attitude are essential. The role offers growth potential within MDBS's 32-state network, with cross-training in bakery and deli tasks and opportunities to advance to management roles.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed
• Effective and friendly communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math and ability to follow written guidelines
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
• Able to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift
• Team player
• Grocery, food service or retail experience a plus!
• Some weekend shifts are required

Responsibilities

• Slice deli meats and cheeses per customer request.
• Prepare custom party trays and make sandwiches accordingly.
• Stock and organize displays; help with shipments as needed.
• Ensure proper sanitation of department and food handling.
• Handle fast-paced situations and customer service with a positive attitude.
• Other duties may include cake decorating or rotisserie chicken prep.
