Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Deli Associate at our Fenton, MI location to prepare and present fresh deli items and maintain product quality. You will package, label, and rotate deli products, ensuring accurate dating and stock levels while contributing to a positive guest experience.

The role requires basic math, reading and writing skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior retail experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce deli products to production planner.
• Package and label deli products per program plan.
• Merchandise deli products per flight plan/merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with deli products; rotate and date cases/buckets.
• Collaborate with other departments to drive store growth.
• Notify the Deli Manager when products or supplies need ordering.
• Perform basic math operations and communicate tasks clearly.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
