PECK'SPSK Supermarkets is seeking a deli clerk to support daily deli operations and deliver an excellent customer experience. The role involves preparing deli products, using slicing equipment, maintaining clean displays, and assisting the Deli Manager with daily tasks.

The ideal candidate is 18+, proficient in English, physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, and available on weekends. This position offers training and a collaborative work environment in a grocery setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Operate deli department equipment (slicer, scale, wrapping machine, rotisserie, fryer, cheese grater/cutter, case cutter, stove/oven).
• Stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Work in varying temperatures and with fresh, dried, and processed products.
• Tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties.
• Stand/walk for full shift and interact with customers politely.
• Work cooperatively with others; weekend availability required.

Responsabilités

• Use slicing machines and related deli equipment per safety protocols.
• Replenish Deli products and prepare items for sale.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, pricing, and restocking to ensure quality and rotation.
• Handle damaged products per policy and monitor spoilage.
• Inform management of low inventory or spoilage.
• Maintain clean, organized workspaces and proper displays.
• Unload trucks and move supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Adhere to shrink guidelines and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Check deliveries against invoices and assist in ordering products as directed.
• Promote current promotions to customers and differentiate merchandise types.
