Job summary

Jerry’s Enterprises is hiring for a part-time deli position at Cub Foods Sun Ray. You will work a varied schedule and earn a progressive pay rate up to $17.25 per hour based on experience. This Union role includes store discounts, EAP, and a flexible schedule.

The job involves preparing deli products, assisting customers, stocking and maintaining a clean store, and collaborating with the team to provide excellent service. Weight lifting up to 50 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• Willing to work in deli, including meats and cheeses, possibly pork.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Strong customer service mindset and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Rate of Pay: Progressive scale up to $17.25/ hour, based on experience

Hours: Sunday – Saturday, varied hours

Frequent Physical

• lifting/carrying to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling 500 to 1500 pounds
• walking, reaching, standing, stooping/bending, squatting

Equipment Operation

• scanner, register, scale, check approval machine, coupon machine, and intercom
• pallet jack, highboy cart, box cutter, tongs, steamer, slicer, wrapper, knives, roaster, chicken fryer, chicken hot case, pizza oven, coffee pot, cleaning utensils

Mental

• judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, math

Environmental

• exposure to hot and cold temperatures, hot equipment and cooking oil

Occasional Physical

• lifting/carrying over 50 lbs., crawling
• FREQUENT: 15% of the work shift or at least ten repetitions per work shift.
• OCCASIONAL: Approximately less than 15% of the work shift or fewer than 10 repetitions per work shift
