Job summary

Whittier College seeks a Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) Coordinator to support OEI program development and supervise student staff, including Diversity Ambassadors. The role serves as liaison to student clubs and advises the Student Diversity Council and Social Justice Coalition.

The incumbent will assist with events and programs for faculty and staff to promote an inclusive campus culture, aligned with the college’s equity initiatives and Quaker heritage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree specialized in education-related and/or social justice-oriented topics.
• Understanding of higher education experiences of historically marginalized student groups.
• Experience coordinating college/university student events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee OEI student staff and supervise Diversity Ambassadors and other student staff.
• Liaise between OEI and student clubs/organizations.
• Advise Student Diversity Council and Social Justice Coalition.
• Assist in planning and implementing events/programs for faculty and staff to foster diversity and inclusion.
