Job summary

SUNY Cortland is seeking a Program Coordinator in Student Affairs to develop and coordinate educational programs, training initiatives, and dialogue opportunities that promote inclusive excellence and student success.

The role requires evening/weekend availability and involves collaborating with students, faculty, staff and campus partners to support engagement and the Annual Student Conference on DEI and Social Justice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; experience planning programs and working with diverse populations preferred.
• Experience facilitating training and coordinating student programs or events.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication abilities essential.

Responsibilities

• Co-chair the Annual Student Conference on DEI and Social Justice with student co-chair, including conference administration.
• Supervise a student intern and manage internship paperwork and performance evaluation.
• Coordinate conference logistics: scheduling, registration, communications, vendors, budget, and assessment.
• Recruit, train and support student volunteers involved in conference planning.
• Support MLDO programs, services and events through outreach and collaboration.
