Job summary
The Bitcoin Street Journal is seeking a Forward-Deployed Engineer to act as the technical partner to its Business Development team in New York. This hands-on role blends engineering, trading, and commercial strategy to identify opportunities and rapidly deliver revenue-generating solutions.
You will work on DeFi primitives, build MVPs, and collaborate across engineering, trading, and external stakeholders to move ideas from concept to scale.
Qualifications
- Background as a DeFi engineer, technical trader, DeFi founder, or hands-on crypto builder.
- Proven ability to build and ship quickly with autonomy.
- Hands-on with DeFi primitives: bridging, liquidations, lending, RWAs, AMMs, on-chain infra.
- Strong proficiency in Solidity, Python, and TypeScript/Node.js.
- Excellent communication across engineering, trading, business development, and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate DeFi and trading opportunities focusing on technical feasibility, risk, and potential P&L.
- Build and deploy solutions including bridging infrastructure, liquidation bots, RWAs minting/redemption workflows, and AMM strategies.
- Rapidly develop MVPs to validate opportunities and support strategic initiatives.
- Serve as the primary technical resource embedded within the Business Development organization.
- Incubate and launch new trading or commercial initiatives from concept through validation and scale.
