JANICE A CHEATWOOD DC in Brandon, FL is seeking a Patient Experience Advocate to welcome patients and ensure they feel heard and cared for from arrival through treatment. You will coordinate with the team to keep patients informed and comfortable with chiropractic care.

This role emphasizes warm communication, empathy, and strong organization to manage scheduling, intake, HIPAA confidentiality, and education across treatments including EMS, decompression, ultrasound, and laser therapies.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or customer-facing office settings preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with EHR and scheduling software a plus.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Compassionate, patient-centered attitude and service orientation.
• Knowledge of basic insurance and billing processes is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional demeanor to create a positive first impression.
• Manage patient scheduling, appointment reminders, and follow-up communications.
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and empathetic manner.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and minimal wait times.
• Assist with patient intake forms, insurance verification, and billing inquiries.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
• Promote a positive office culture by advocating for patient satisfaction at every touchpoint.
• Helping families with young children be able to succeed with their treatments.
• Guides patients through basic exercises.
• Help patients get set up on therapies (Electric Muscle Stimulation, Decompression, Ultrasound, Laser).

• Our patient hours are Monday 8:30 am- 12:00pm and 2:00pm-6:00pm, Tuesday and Thursday 11:00am- 7:00pm and Friday 8:30am to noonish. Wednesdays are for administrative duties.
• This position is 30-35 hours/week.
