Job summary

Arcata Associates, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV, seeks a Project Manager to plan and execute complex engineering and technical services efforts for DoD programs. You will coordinate with customers, vendors, and engineers to ensure on-time delivery within cost and scope.

You will develop detailed schedules, manage budgets, and maintain project documentation while adhering to government processes and security requirements. Overnight travel to remote sites and vendor facilities is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or five years of PM experience.
• PMP certification within one year; CAPM acceptable if not yet eligible.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to manage stressed environments.
• Ability to communicate, follow-up, and resolve problems.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Ability to learn technical attributes and operations/maintenance/sustainment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project Professional.
• Must obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute efforts as a project managed in MS Project Server.
• Develop detailed project schedules and establish the critical path.
• Identify stakeholders and resource requirements.
• Develop vendor sub-contracts and manage vendor relations.
• Serve as single point of contact for Government, vendors, and the company.
• Ensure adherence to Systems Engineering Processes.
• Create and approve requirements, implementation, and testing docs.
• Establish and manage project budget and risks.
• Track deliverables and performance; report progress to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to address safety, security, and property needs.
• Ensure project closure and transition of product to operations and maintenance.
• Occasional overnight travel to remote sites and vendor facilities; weekly field integrations.
