Job summary

KBR is seeking a Defense Systems Production Engineer to serve as the technical authority on manufacturability, quality, and configuration for critical defense hardware, software, and firmware. The role emphasizes data validation, factory execution, and strict adherence to standards to ensure secure, mission-ready deliveries.

You will review TDPs, validate drawings, lead CM activities, and ensure traceability across the lifecycle while mitigating supplier risk and sustaining production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one (US citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Review and approve Technical Data Packages (TDPs).
• Read, interpret, and validate engineering drawings, MIL-STDs, and specifications.
• Ensure end-to-end requirements traceability across the product lifecycle.
• Lead Configuration Management across hardware, software, and firmware.
• Participate in and guide Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).
• Execute Configuration Status Accounting to maintain system integrity.
• Conduct factory floor audits and oversee manufacturing quality baselines.
• Analyze defense manufacturing capabilities and monitor supply chain risks.
