Job summary

The ideal candidate will possess an M.S. degree in a related field, have over 4 years of experience, and knowledge of MIL-STD-882 or ISO 26262. This full-time position is based in Detroit, Michigan, and requires the ability to maintain a Secret DOD security clearance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience working as a Functional Safety Engineer preferably in the Defense sector.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DOD security clearance.
• Working knowledge of System Safety and/or Human Factors/Ergonomics in product development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a multi-functional environment to define system-level Technical Safety Requirements.
• Execute risk management efforts by defining tests utilizing SIL/HIL testing environments.
• Lead the development and execution of Safety Verification and Validation tests.
