Job summary

Tata Technologies in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Technical Functional Safety lead for BMS with ISO 26262 & SOTIF expertise. You will own safety lifecycle for chassis systems, collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, OEMs, and certification bodies.

The role requires hands-on experience in safety analyses (FMEA/FTA/FMEDA), safety concepts, and safety case development, including ALM tools and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in functional safety and chassis systems.
• Strong automotive systems background and ADAS integration experience.
• Experience collaborating with OEMs, suppliers, and assessment bodies.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive functional safety lifecycle for chassis systems from concept through production.
• Develop Item Definition, HARA, Safety Goals, and ASIL classifications.
• Review FSC/TSC and safety analyses such as FMEA/FTA/FMEDA.
• Define safety requirements for HW/SW and manage safety interfaces.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and certification bodies.
