Job summary

Tata Technologies is recruiting a Safety Technical SM in Auburn Hills, MI, to lead safety activities for advanced chassis and ADAS systems. Strong ISO 26262 and SOTIF knowledge is required, with extensive experience in automotive safety programs.

The role interfaces with engineering teams, OEMs, suppliers, and assessment bodies to drive compliance and safety case development throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of automotive Functional Safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 26262 and SOTIF (ISO 21448).
• Experience with OEMs, suppliers, and assessment bodies.
• Hands-on expertise in safety-critical automotive systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead Functional Safety and SOTIF activities across the product lifecycle.
• Develop and review Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), Safety Concepts, Requirements, and Safety Case.
• Ensure safety compliance for chassis systems and ADAS interfaces.
• Collaborate with OEMs, suppliers, and certification/assessment bodies.
• Support safety audits, assessments, and technical reviews.
