Job summary

Leidos Defense is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a matrixed team of engineers with a focus on Risk Management across Hypersonics contracts. This role involves developing and managing requirements specifications, ICDs, verification plans, and concepts of operations to ensure timely contract deliverables.

Preferred is a strong background in traditional systems engineering and risk management, ABET-accredited degree (or MS), and a secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science with 6+ years of experience, or an MS with 4+ years.
• Experience in deriving requirements for complex electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and software systems.
• Candidate should be capable of collaborating in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage systems engineering deliverables: requirements specs, ICDs, verification plans, and CONOPS.
• Elicit risks and opportunities, develop mitigations, and present findings to leadership and customer.
• Balance work across multiple programs in a matrixed organization.
