Job summary

Hanwha Defense USA, Inc. is seeking a Subcontracts Manager to lead the full subcontract lifecycle for defense programs in an on-site role based in Rosslyn, VA.

You will negotiate and administer complex subcontracts with U.S. and international suppliers, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and data rights while coordinating with Program Management, Production, and Finance to meet cost and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10 years of subcontract administration or procurement experience within the defense industry.
• Experience with cost-type, fixed-price, and other subcontract forms used in defense contracting.
• Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, defense contracting practices, and flow-down requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full subcontract lifecycle—from planning to closeout—for production, development, engineering, and service-related subcontracts.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage subcontract agreements with U.S. and international suppliers, aligned with program requirements, schedules, and cost targets.
• Ensure flow-down and compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and customer requirements, including data rights and security obligations.
• Coordinate with Program Management, Production, Engineering, and Finance to align subcontract strategies with milestones and constraints.
• Support proposal activities, including subcontractor RFP development, cost/price analysis, and supplier evaluations.
• Manage supplier performance, including schedule adherence, contract compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Support long-term supplier relationships and strategic sourcing initiatives to strengthen supply chain capability.
• Coordinate with legal and compliance stakeholders to resolve contractual or regulatory issues.
• Maintain subcontract documentation and reporting for audit readiness.
