Job summary

Hana Technologies and Systems seeks a Strategist to lead cross-functional workstreams, driving human-centered design and research for the Hana Defense Solutions unit. You will craft strategic plans, facilitate workshops, and translate complex data into clear client-facing narratives.

Required are a DoD Secret or higher clearance, U.S. citizenship, and 6+ years on DoW contracts, with strong skills in Jira, Confluence, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite. Hybrid/onsite in DC metro area.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Strategy, Business, Communications, or related field.
6+ years’ experience on Department of War (DoW) contracts in problem solving and strategy roles.
Familiarity with DoW operations, regulation and structure.
Proven ability to analyze complex problems and present structured, evidence-based recommendations.
Experience with human-centered design methods and frameworks.
Ability to read the room and adjust for results.
Ability to support the full project lifecycle from start to finish.
Must be a U.S. citizen with a DoD Secret or higher clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead workstreams and drive human-centered design, research, and execution efforts.
Develop products within client workstreams meeting DoW standards and security requirements.
Support strategic plans, frameworks, and recommendations aligned with client and mission objectives.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand operational challenges and opportunities.
Synthesize data into clear narratives, reports, and visual frameworks for leadership and clients.
