Job summary

Roush is seeking a Vice President of Defense to define strategy, investments, and go-to-market plans across the defense sector. The role leads cross-functional teams, manages complex programs, and engages with clients and vendors globally. The onsite location is Warren, MI.

You will direct engineering, contracting, security, IT, and compliance, drive growth, and report to executive leadership on financial performance and strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience leading organizations executing projects or business in technical or defense industries.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing business financials (profit & loss, sales margins).
• Active, ongoing Department of Defense security clearance up to Top Secret.
• FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, NIST, and CMMC knowledge.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Strategy, Leadership and Direction for the Defense business.
• Oversee financials (profit, loss & sales margins) for Defense with projections and reporting.
• Lead business development and proposals to meet growth targets.
• Direct engineering, contracting, security, IT and compliance within defense.
• Improve and reinforce the quality system to meet expectations.
• Identify focus areas for continuous improvement and growth.
• Oversee staff development and engagement.
• Foster an environment of positive employee engagement.
• Ensure goals cascade and align across leadership levels.
