Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Germany seeks a Defensive Aids Simulation SW Engineer to develop and integrate complex simulation subsystems for sensors and weapons. You will retarget embedded aircraft software, model defensive aids, and collaborate with internal partners and suppliers in a high-fidelity Eurofighter training system context.

The role emphasizes software design, testing, and integration across the full lifecycle, with a focus on Linux environments and multi-disciplinary teamwork

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of SW development and interface definitions (C, C++, ADA 95, Python, GDB).
• Linux development environment and toolchain experience.
• Educated to degree level in computer science or engineering.
• Good language skills in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Software design and development of subsystems for high-fidelity simulation.
• Retargeting embedded aircraft software based on M68k or PPC CPU.
• Interface harmonization with internal partners and external suppliers.
• Support integration and testing at simulation devices with subject matter experts.
• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle from requirements to qualification.
