Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Defense Report Specialist to work remotely on a contract basis. The role focuses on creating and refining authentic federal reporting artifacts and executive summaries, with strong emphasis on federal style guides and precise written communication.

Responsibilities include evaluating submissions, developing reference responses for various report types, and contributing to AI model training guidelines in federal reporting.

Formación

• Experience as a federal professional in US Government or Defense.
• Experience producing templated reports such as WARs, MARs, SITREPs, and exec summaries.
• Background with one or more US military branches valued.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with adherence to federal style guides.

Position: Defense Report Specialist | $80/hr Remote

Type: Contract

Compensation: $40 - $80/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

• Create, review, and refine authentic federal reporting artifacts such as Weekly Action Reports, Situation Reports, and executive briefings.
• Develop high-quality written responses and summaries reflecting federal and military reporting practices.
• Evaluate and grade sample project submissions using detailed grading guidelines.
• Contribute input artifacts and golden reference responses for various federal and military report types.
• Support the creation of guidelines and evaluative rubrics for training AI models in federal report generation.
• Consult on task design and requirements to improve project outputs.
• Participate in feedback cycles to ensure deliverables meet evolving project standards.

Requirements

• Have strong relevant experience as a federal professional in the US Department of War/Defense.
• Demonstrated expertise producing templated reports such as WARs, MARs, SITREPs, and executive summaries.
• Background with one or more branches of the US military is especially valued.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with attention to clarity and compliance with federal style guides.
• Experience using Microsoft Office suite in producing official reports, memos, and presentations.
• Ability to articulate reporting methodology and provide feedback for training and assessment purposes.
