Bascom Hunter seeks an experienced Program Manager to lead and oversee defense and aerospace programs. The role requires a practical technical background, proven capability to manage programs from capture through delivery, and strong cross-functional leadership across engineering, manufacturing, and procurement.

The ideal candidate has a background in defense or aerospace, is a U.S. citizen, and can communicate effectively with government customers while driving program performance on schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 1–3 years of program management experience in defense, aerospace, or government contracting.
• Proven leadership managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple concurrent programs.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer-facing skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end program execution for defense and aerospace contracts, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Develop and maintain relationships with government and industry customers.
• Manage internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing and procurement.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, export control regulations (ITAR/EAR), and internal quality systems.
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical and programmatic risks.
• Prepare and present status updates, technical reviews, and financial reports to senior leadership and customers.
