Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems in Kansas seeks experienced Program Controllers to join our Spirit Defense unit. You will develop budgets, monitor costs and schedules on defense contracts, perform financial analyses, and ensure compliance with government guidelines.

Roles range from Associate to Senior Level (Level 2–4) with salary ranges provided. A Bachelor's degree and ability to obtain DoD clearance are required; DoD experience and Deltek/SAP familiarity are a plus, and this is a union-represented

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Math, or related field.
Experience in a Finance classification / position.
Level 2: 2-5+ years of related experience; Level 3: 5-10+ years; Level 4: 10+ years.
Strong experience with Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas).
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

Set up cost control system and monitor costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.
Reconcile data discrepancies and correct errors in cost charging for complex / multiple budgets/pools.
Performs analyses and prepares reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated and government cost control guidelines.
Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performs/assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled.
Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks.
Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining expenditure records and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.
Incorporates contractual changes into control systems and baselines.
Compiles data from multiple teams /areas and develops reports to meet reporting requirements.
