Job summary

IDEX's Advanced Thin Films division is seeking a Production Supervisor, Defense, to lead daily manufacturing operations on the defense value stream with emphasis on safety, quality, delivery and productivity. You will directly manage production staff and coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to meet customer commitments.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Management, Optics, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in a technical manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with ERP systems; JD Edwards experience preferred.
• Experience in cleanroom/ESD-controlled or precision manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
• Translate production schedules and priorities into clear daily expectations.
• Prioritize work based on customer demand, constraints, staffing, and resources.
• Coach and develop production employees; drive performance and accountability.
• Partner with the Operations Manager and cross‑functional teams on capacity and planning.
• Sustain standardized work and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
