Job summary

IDEX Corporation in Colorado is seeking a Production Supervisor, Defense to lead daily manufacturing in the Advanced Thin Films unit. You will drive safety, quality, delivery and productivity on the shop floor, translating schedules into daily execution and developing your team.

The role collaborates with Planning, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain, requires a 4-year degree (or better) in engineering or related field and 7+ years of technical manufacturing experience with Lean and ERP

Qualifications

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Management, Optics, or related field.
7+ years of experience in a technical manufacturing environment.
Previous supervisory or direct people leadership experience.
Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Experience with ERP systems; JD Edwards experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
Translate production schedules into clear daily expectations for the team.
Prioritize work based on customer demand, constraints, staffing, and resources.
Monitor performance, identify risks, and adjust priorities as needed.
Lead daily production meetings and ensure effective communications of priorities.
Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to support customer commitments.
