Job summary

AV is seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to drive development in the LEAP group within the MacCready Works division. You will lead CV/ML algorithm work, mentor junior engineers, and guide the end-to-end lifecycle from requirements through validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, mathematics, physics, or related field with 5+ years of ML/CV experience.
• Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of CV and ML algorithms for detection, classification, localization, and tracking from diverse sensors.
• Maintain awareness of literature and products to keep solutions cutting-edge.
• Advise on software infrastructure and DevOps for ML needs.
• Implement ML algorithms and validate designs through designed experiments.
• Analyze model errors and improve strategies.
• Select datasets and supervise data acquisition when required.
• Coordinate team activities and manage resources to meet deadlines.
