Job summary

RTX Corporation is seeking a seasoned Material Program Manager to join the Advanced Programs Operations & Supply Chain team in McKinney, TX. The role focuses on delivering material strategy across suppliers, interfacing with program leadership, engineering, and the supply base to support increased production rates.

Qualifications

• Typically requires: a University Degree or equivalent experience plus minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with minimum 5 years experience.
• Experience in supply chain, finance, operations, project management, and/or program management.
• Experience managing supplier performance relative to financials, performance metrics, and/or contract compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating purchase requirements with Engineering, Program Operations Management, and Production Control Planning and Scheduling.
• Identify supply gaps and strategies to address.
• Prepare documents and deliver presentations to key leadership.
• Develop and implement material strategies that support multi-year production.
• Participate in supplier engagements and reviews to ensure supplier performance.
• Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives.
• Flow down supplier management best practices to suppliers, including risk mitigation and subcontract management plans.
• Influence others to achieve long-range program goals.
• Travel to key suppliers to support program growth strategy.
• Liaison weekly on supplier health between supply base, supply chain, engineering and program management.
• Coordinate with internal teams on technical or delivery concerns with path to solution strategy.
• Travel domestically, ~85-95%.
