Job summary

Kalman & Company is seeking a Production Manager to coordinate the Distribution Center's operations, align workload and staffing, and ensure audit-ready performance. The salary range is $80K–$110K per year, depending on qualifications.

The role requires leadership, analytical skills, and experience with warehouse operations and automated systems. Responsibilities include performance analysis, resource adjustment, and cross-functional coordination on a DoD installation.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in warehouse operations and performing statistical analysis on operations comparable in size and complexity to the contemplated effort.
• At least two years of experience using automated warehouse management systems within the past five years.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze production performance, forecast workload, identify operational problems, and adjust resources.
• Experience coordinating multiple warehouse or distribution functions and resolving cross-functional issues.
• Strong analytical, systems, planning, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide technical guidance for coordination of Distribution Center production divisions and functional workflows.
• Integrate performance planning, systems management, stock positioning, storage operations, traffic management, workload, staffing, and site-specific mission requirements.
• Analyze operational performance through direct observation, reports, dashboards, transaction data, and collaboration with functional leaders.
• Apply statistical analysis and operational data to identify trends, constraints, bottlenecks, capacity issues, and emerging workload changes.
• Forecast workload and recommend or direct resource adjustments to maintain timely, accurate, and complete performance.
• Respond to complex operational problems and formulate, coordinate, and track corrective-action plans.
• Support root-cause analysis, performance recovery, audit readiness, internal controls, and continuous process improvement.
• Coordinate with the Site Manager, Alternate Site Manager, Supply Systems Analyst, Inventory Manager, Transportation Manager, Storage Specialist, and Government counterparts.
• Prepare operational analyses, staffing-impact assessments, production reports, schedules, and leadership briefings.
