Job summary

SRG Government Services seeks an experienced Logistics Director to lead end-to-end logistics, materials management, inventory control, and government property accountability for a defense manufacturing organization.

The role emphasizes audit readiness, compliance with FAR 52.245-1, DFARS, MMAS, and GFP/ Contractor-Acquired Property management, and requires collaboration with operations, finance, program management, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in logistics, supply chain, operations or related field.
• 15+ years of leadership in logistics, materials management, or government property accountability.
• Direct experience with FAR/DFARS, MMAS and government property compliance.
• Experience managing Government-Furnished Property, Contractor-Acquired Property, and lifecycle accountability.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouses, transportation, and ERP-driven processes.
• Experience supporting audits with DCMA, DCAA, or government property stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute end-to-end logistics strategies across transportation, warehousing, and inventory control.
• Establish compliant GFP/ Contractor-Acquired Property receipt, tracking, and lifecycle accountability.
• Oversee inventory plans, cycle counts, reconciliation, and documentation.
• Lead shipping coordination, transport planning, and compliant transfer documentation.
• Develop and enforce policies for logistics and government property compliance.
• Ensure audit readiness and serve as point of contact for government audits.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, carrier relationships, and vendor performance.
