Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced litigation attorney in Tempe, AZ to manage complex defense matters across governmental and civil rights issues. Hybrid schedule with remote flexibility, and substantial trial exposure as cases progress to resolution.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Arizona Bar license in good standing.
• 3-10+ years of litigation defense experience preferred.
• Background in insurance defense or complex civil litigation strongly preferred.
• Experience with Clio or other legal case management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Handle all phases of discovery, including written discovery, disclosures, document production, and review.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and other proceedings.
• Develop litigation strategy and perform legal research for complex matters.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial.
• Participate in trial preparation, including exhibit management and case development.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to provide exceptional client service.
• Meet established billable hour expectations and maintain organized case management practices.
