Job summary

Lydecker LLP in Boca Raton seeks an associate attorney with 1-3 years of civil defense litigation experience. The role is hybrid and requires admission to the Florida Bar.

Under supervision of a partner, you will handle cases across construction defect, general liability, and professional liability in a defense litigation practice group. Qualifications include a FL bar in good standing, a JD from an ABA-accredited school, and 1-3 years of defense experience.

Qualifications

• This position requires a FL bar license in good standing.
• A minimum of JD from an ABA approved law school
• A minimum of 1-3 years of civil defense litigation experience, preferably in general liability, bodily injury, premises liability, products liability, or construction defect litigation.
• Experience working on up to 13+ cases concurrently, attending and defending depositions, taking depositions, and appearance in court.

Responsibilities

• Must be willing and able to bill a minimum draft/review and respond to petitions/complaints, motions, and written discovery
• Attend hearings and meetings with clients when requested
• Prepare for and attend depositions
• Assist with preparation for mediations and trials
