Job summary

RTX is seeking an on-site Hardware Electrical Engineer to join our team in Tucson, AZ. You will design, test, and support advanced electrical subsystems used in extreme battlefield environments, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include creating analog electronics, high-efficiency power Conversion topologies, and precision servo/motor control systems, with rigorous documentation and production support throughout design to lab integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Experience with analog electronics, power electronics, power systems, or control systems.
• Experience creating circuit simulations with PSPICE, LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink.
• Ability to document engineering work and present technical findings.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, and document analog circuitry and power subsystems.
• Develop precision control systems including servo loops and motor drives.
• Architect flight termination/telemetry systems and data acquisition modules.
• Model power system dynamics and EMI using PSPICE/LTspice/MATLAB.
• Support hardware integration, lab characterization, and production testing.
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical, software, and reliability engineers.
• Prepare schematics, trade studies, and test procedures.
