Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a senior hardware electrical engineer to design, test, and support high-reliability circuitry and power systems for defense applications. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, rigorous engineering processes, and production-ready designs.

You will work on analog electronics, power conversion, and flight termination/telemetry systems, from design through lab integration and field support, with a focus on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering required or expected by start date.
• Experience or coursework in Analog Electronics, Power Electronics, Power Systems, or Control Systems.
• Experience creating simulations/models of electrical circuits using PSPICE, LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts through clear documentation and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, and document analog circuitry and power sub-systems.
• Develop precision control systems including servo loops and motor drives.
• Architect flight termination/telemetry systems and RF transmitters.
• Model power system dynamics and EMI using PSPICE, LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink.
• Support hardware integration, testing, and production activities.
