Job summary

ASI Government is seeking an Engagement Lead (Director) to oversee a DoW client engagement, guiding strategy, governance, and delivery across senior government leaders. You will structure analyses, craft executive-ready deliverables, and ensure high-quality outcomes while navigating ambiguous environments.

Based in the Washington, DC area, it requires DoD context, Top Secret/SCI eligibility, and travel three to four days per week.

Qualifications

10+ years of professional experience in management/strategy/transformation consulting or equivalent.
5+ years leading consulting engagements with direct accountability for senior-client relationships and executive outputs.
DoW Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret / SCI (SAP Access).
Demonstrated ability to navigate complex client environments and provide trusted advisory support.
Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills, including building executive-ready analyses and storylines.

Responsibilities

Co-lead the engagement with a government mission leader, combining consulting discipline with established client relationships and institutional knowledge.
Serve as a senior day-to-day interface with client leadership; anticipate needs, read stakeholder dynamics, and build credibility.
Frame ambiguous problems, develop clear points of view, and provide strategic ideas and practical recommendations.
Design and lead executive meetings, working sessions, and decision forums with concise messaging.
Own the engagement from problem definition through implementation, including scope, milestones, and outcomes.
