* Lead the identification, qualification, and pursuit of new business opportunities within the defense sector, including U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, military branches, and allied defense organizations.
* Develop and execute strategic business development plans that align with corporate growth objectives, focusing on long-term pipeline development and near-term revenue generation.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key government decision-makers, military leadership, industry partners, and stakeholders to understand emerging requirements and influence acquisition strategies.
* Oversee the preparation and submission of compelling proposals, white papers, and RFIs/RFPs in collaboration with proposal, capture, and technical teams.
* Monitor defense budgets, procurement forecasts, and legislative developments to identify trends and proactively shape business opportunities.
* Represent the company at defense industry events, conferences, and tradeshows to promote capabilities and identify teaming opportunities.
* Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including engineering, program management, legal, and finance to ensure alignment on solution development and pricing strategies.
* Analyze competitors, assess market share potential, and develop competitive intelligence to inform bid/no-bid decisions and improve win rates.
* Drive strategic partnerships and teaming arrangements to expand capabilities and access to contracts.
* Provide executive leadership with regular reports and forecasts on business development activities, pipeline status, and strategic recommendations.
