Job summary

APEX Defense, a Huntsville, Alabama-based government contractor, is seeking an experienced Acquisition Analyst to provide acquisition and program management support to the AFPO, supporting the MRC and CAML projects.

The selected candidate will lead complex acquisition efforts from planning through contract execution with close collaboration among Government stakeholders, contracting organizations, cross-functional teams, and industry partners.

Qualifications

• Active DoD security clearance required.
• 10+ years of experience supporting DoD acquisition programs.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Acquisition, Program Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of DoD acquisition policies, regulations, and lifecycle processes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including exec-level briefings and acquisition documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead acquisition efforts from inception to contract execution.
• Provide expertise and strategic recommendations to Program Managers and senior leadership.
• Manage contract lifecycle from requirements to closeout.
• Develop and staff acquisition documents (CRPs, Acquisition Plans, SAMPs).
• Prepare SOWs, PWSs, IGEs, CDRLs and related docs.
• Conduct market research and support RFIs, Sources Sought, and RFPs.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders and industry partners to resolve issues and maintain momentum.
