Job summary

JLA Resourcing Ltd is partnering with a global technology organisation to hire an Infrastructure Engineer / SRE for New York (or Washington DC) with hybrid work and ~50% travel. The role focuses on building, operating and improving large-scale production environments in Defence and Government sectors.

You'll work across software and infrastructure, using Kubernetes and AWS, developing automation, influencing architecture, and supporting on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• SRE/Infrastructure focused engineer with software engineering foundations.
• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS in large-scale environments.
• Strong automation and coding skills to reduce toil and improve reliability.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate scalable, highly available infrastructure
• Work with Kubernetes and AWS across large-scale systems
• Develop code and automation to improve infrastructure
• Influence architecture and systems design
• Monitor, alert, config management and upgrades
• Debug production issues and engineer long-term fixes
• Deploy new systems and manage migrations
• Collaborate with software engineers and forward-deployed teams
• Maintain on-call rotation (about 1 week in 5)
• Hybrid role with on-site attendance near NY/DC
