Job summary

NALEJ is seeking a Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our AWS-hosted infrastructure. You will work across DevSecOps, cloud engineering, and security teams to keep production systems compliant and resilient.

You'll design, deploy, and manage AWS services (EKS, EC2, IAM, VPC, ECR) with Terraform, build CI/CD pipelines, and implement observability with Prometheus and Grafana while supporting on-call rotation and DoD security controls.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active or Interim DoD Security Clearance
• IAT Level II Certification (Security+, SSCP, or CCNA Security)
• 3+ years experience with AWS and Terraform
• Kubernetes experience (EKS preferred)
• Strong Linux administration and scripting (Bash, Python, Go)
• Networking, VPC, IAM, and security best practices

Responsibilities

NALEJ is hiring a Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support the reliability, security, and scalability of our AWS-hosted infrastructure. This role blends DevOps, SRE, and cloud engineering to ensure production systems meet mission-critical demands and compliance standards. You’ll work hands‑on with Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines, collaborating closely with engineering and security teams.

Location: Remote (occasional in office in D.C.)

Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizenship Required

Clearance Requirement: Active or Interim DoD Security Clearance

Certification Requirement: IAT Level II (e.g., Security+, SSCP, or CCNA Security)

Travel: Occasional

On-Call: Yes (shared rotation)
