Job summary

Communications Training Analysis Corporation (CTAC) seeks a Technical Lead to guide a shared service infra team delivering on-prem and cloud applications. The role includes leading DevOps/SRE efforts, building automations, and ensuring secure, scalable operations.

The position is hybrid in Falls Church, VA with occasional travel to client sites and potential remote work, requiring strong leadership, security focus, and ability to mentor engineers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of development and operations experience, preferably supporting government systems.
• Proficient in at least one programming language; comfortable with multiple scripting languages.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or equivalent experience.
• Experience with tools for vulnerability scanning, monitoring, and incident response.
• Ability to document technical processes and architectures clearly.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience managing Linux and Windows servers in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of the shared service infrastructure team.
• Support operations and maintenance of applications running on-premises and in the cloud.
• Develop automated tooling and scripts to reduce manual effort.
• Contribute back to project software to improve processes and reduce technical debt.
• Assist in debugging of applications, databases, and middleware across technologies.
• Configure monitoring, alerting, and notification tooling for cloud and on-premises apps.
• Develop cloud-first applications and infrastructure as code to improve processes.
