Job summary

Babcock International is seeking Senior Quantity Surveyors to support a range of defence infrastructure projects. You’ll drive pre-tender cost planning, evaluate design options, and deliver robust financial reporting to guide project decisions while safeguarding profitability.

Successful candidates will hold a relevant degree in quantity surveying and may have MOD contract experience, NEC3/NEC4 knowledge, and a background in Civils or Building.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in quantity surveying or a related discipline.
• RICS membership advantageous but not essential.
• Strong knowledge of building and construction practices.
• Experience with MOD contracts and NEC3/NEC4 frameworks.
• Background in Civils, Building, Mechanical or Commercial and project management.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic cost planning by developing pre-tender estimates and evaluating design options.
• Deliver insightful financial reporting to support project and client decisions.
• Support contract negotiations to secure favourable commercial outcomes.
• Monitor financial performance and recommend actions to maintain profitability.
• Shape project budgets in collaboration with subcontractors and internal teams.
