Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Engineering Support role for the A Shift Technician Sustaining team. This position focuses on first-line defect containment, data analysis, and rapid action to minimize wafer damage, communicating across technicians, engineering, and leadership.

The ideal candidate has an engineering degree and at least two years in semiconductor process engineering, with experience in defect inspection tools and data mining.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• At least 2 years of semiconductor process engineering experience.
• Experience with defect inspection tools and data analysis.
• Authorized to work in the USA for any employer.

Responsibilities

• Develop broad process flow knowledge and understand defect morphology.
• Assist technicians with tool investigations, data collection, and issue closures.
• Perform data analysis to identify defect sources and prevent excursions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on defect classifications and procedures.
• Monitor on-shift process/tool trends and root cause analysis.
