Job summary

Morris-Shea Bridge Company, Inc. in Irondale, AL is seeking an Estimator to develop deep foundation estimates from concept through final bid.

You will evaluate plans, specifications, quantities, and bid documents, and collaborate with operations and project teams to shape pricing and strategy. This role requires at least two years in deep foundation estimating, a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience), and strong skills in plan

Qualifications

Two years of deep foundation estimating experience required.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
Strong plan reading, quantity takeoff, cost development, and estimating software skills.
Office-based in Irondale, AL.

Responsibilities

Prepare deep foundation estimates for drilled shafts, driven pile, earth retention, ground improvement, and related scopes.
Develop takeoffs and costs from drawings, specifications, geotechnical info, and bid documents.
Identify scope gaps, risks, and bid strategy impacts.
Coordinate bid documents and proposal information with internal stakeholders and subs.
Collaborate with operations and project teams to validate means, methods, crew sizing, and equipment needs.
Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and other partners.
