Job summary

EPES Transport, a Penske Logistics division, seeks an Operations Supervisor in Richmond, VA to manage daily operations for dedicated accounts and ensure safety, customer satisfaction, and driver goals are met. Onsite schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–7:00 PM.

Pay range is $54,000–$57,000, depending on experience. Responsibilities include coordinating shipments, payroll, billing, driver liaison, and collaboration with PTL for maintenance.

Qualifications

• Two years of Transportation Operation Experience in a fast-paced setting.
• HS Diploma / GED required.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• Intermediate dispatch knowledge.
• Intermediate geography knowledge.
• Basic finance understanding.
• Willingness to travel as necessary and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule customer shipments and be the primary contact for day-to-day needs.
• Ensure payroll submission is accurate and timely per standards.
• Manage billing processes and resolve discrepancies with customers.
• Engage with drivers to address daily operational issues and maintain service quality.
• Collaborate with PTL to ensure equipment receives maintenance and repairs.
• Implement and oversee safety programs and driver coaching as needed.

Position Summary

This position is for EPES Transport, LLC., a division of Penske Logistics, based in Greensboro, North Carolina. The primary purpose of the Dedicated Operations Supervisor role is manage the day-to-day operation of assigned Dedicated Account(s), ensuring that Safety, Customer, and Driver Goals are met or exceeded. Driving profitability through contract compliance, expense mitigation, and business growth.

Onsite, Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-7:00PM

Pay Range

$54,000-$57,000 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule customer shipments to align with service requirements, acting as the primary point of contact for day-to-day customer needs.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll in compliance with company standards.
• Manage billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness; collaborate with customers to resolve any discrepancies.
• Engage with drivers to address daily operational concerns, escalating issues as necessary to maintain service quality.
• Partner with PTL to ensure all equipment receives timely preventative maintenance and necessary repairs.
• Implement and oversee company safety programs, including Smart Drive, High Risk Driver Reporting, and driver coaching initiatives.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant Transportation Operation Experience required, in a fast-paced environment. Operational Experience may be waived if applicable internal experience (ex: Admin).
• HS Diploma / GED required
• Intermediate computer skills
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
