Job summary

The One to One Observer at Virtua Health provides constant one-to-one observation of the patient, ensuring a safe environment and supportive interaction within a calm setting. This role communicates with and supports the healthcare team, patients, and family, while upholding high standards of professional ethics.

The position requires strong communication skills, a High School diploma or GED, and successful completion of the observer course or equivalent.

• Successful completion of the Observer course or equivalent is mandatory.
• Strong communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provides constant one-to-one observation of assigned patient.
• Provides restraint care to patients in restraints.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient's status to RN and responds appropriately.
• Assists in orientation of healthcare team.
• Other duties as assigned.
