Job summary

27J Schools seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional-Generalist for Stuart Middle School in the Denver metro area. You will support students with disabilities, modify materials, and assist teachers with IEPs and behavior plans.

Requirements include a High School diploma (or equivalent) and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds; bilingual skills are preferred and background checks are required. This is a full‑time, on‑site role with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as Behavior Plans, IEPs, staff and student handbooks.
• Ability to collect data, write routine reports and simple correspondences.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from teachers and related services providers.
• Ability to solve practical problems with concrete variables.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and/or academic support and supervision for students with disabilities in accordance with IEPs.
• Modify academic materials under direction from teachers and assist with instruction delivery.
• Identify and facilitate peer relationships and natural supports.
• Follow through with behavior intervention plans and monitor safety.
• Maintain forms and records as requested by teachers and related service providers.
• De-escalate students as needed using CPI measures.
• Communicate observations and progress with teachers and specialists.
• Assist with minor clerical duties as needed.
• Attend trainings as required.
