Green Shield Deck Builders in Michigan is seeking a crew leader to oversee job-site execution, support crew performance, and ensure high-quality deck builds. This is a W-2 employee position with steady, year-round work and no winter layoffs.

You will lead a 3-person crew, travel daily to residential sites, and build high-quality decks from start to finish while maintaining safety and quality standards. Competitive hourly pay and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable personal vehicle required.
• Willingness to travel daily to residential build sites (150 mile radius).
• At least 3 years of experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor.
• At least 1 year of leadership or management experience.
• Ability to work full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional overtime.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist, lead, and support the day-to-day work of a 3-person crew.
• Build high-quality residential decks from start to finish.
• Execute advanced construction tasks (framing, measuring, cutting, assembly).
• Ensure safety, efficiency, and quality standards on every job.
• Train and mentor Crew I and II team members.
• Travel to residential job sites daily.
• Maintain clean, organized, and productive job sites.
