Green Shield Deck Builders is hiring a Crew Leader in Michigan for a full-time, year-round role. You will oversee a three-person crew, supervise deck construction from start to finish, and travel daily to residential sites. The position is a W-2 employee role with steady work and no winter layoffs.

Applicants should have at least 3 years in construction or related fields and a minimum of 1 year in leadership. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required to commute to sites daily.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable personal vehicle required.
• Willingness to travel to residential build sites daily within a 150 mile radius.
• At least 3 years of experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor.
• At least 1 year of leadership or management experience.
• Able to work full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional overtime.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently.
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the day-to-day work of a 3-person crew.
• Build high-quality residential decks from start to finish.
• Execute framing, measuring, cutting, and assembly tasks.
• Ensure safety, efficiency, and quality on each job.
• Train and mentor Crew I and II team members.
• Travel to residential job sites daily.
• Maintain clean, organized, productive job sites.
