Qualifications

• 10+ years of supervisory experience in shipbuilding/ship maintenance environments.
• 5+ years of 2nd level management experience in industrial shipbuilding/ship maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Set clear expectations for workers and drive ownership of outputs and progress.
• Ensure backup tasks are defined and ready if primary tasks cannot progress.
• Coach supervisors on presence and effectiveness to ensure progress prior to deadlines.
• Facilitate communication of barriers and progress on a half-shift basis.
• Attend meetings with supervisors and provide coaching on preparation, listening, and response.
• Spend at least 4 hours per day on deckplate supervision and ensure handoffs to successors are planned and executed.
