Job summary

You will spend significant deckplate time, ensure work is staged, and drive half-shift progress with clear communication. Requires US citizenship and a Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience on Torpedo Tube and Weapons Shipping and Handling Assembly.
• Minimum 10 years of Supervisory experience in an industrial environment within the shipbuilding / ship maintenance industry.
• Minimum 5 years of 2nd level management experience in an industrial environment within the shipbuilding / ship maintenance industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide deck plate supervisor coaching to improve productivity and schedule adherence.
• Coach on ensuring work is staged and communicated to workers.
• Set clear expectations for half-shift progress and ownership.
• Ensure backup tasks are defined and ready if primary tasks lag.
• Develop and maintain work package documentation and progress reporting.
• Spend at least 4 hours a day on deckplate.
• Attend meetings with Supervisor and assist in meetings.
• Ensure handoffs to 2nd shift are planned and start on time.
• Advise on reinforcing direction to sustain coached behaviors.
