Job summary
A maritime operations company based out of Point Loma, CA, is seeking a full-time Deckhand to support safe operations aboard the Range-Support Craft. Responsibilities include maintaining vessel readiness, handling mooring lines, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The ideal candidate holds a USCG Able Bodied Seaman certification and has at least 2 years' experience in maritime operations. A strong command of electronic navigation systems and teamwork skills will be essential for success in this role.
Qualifications
USCG Able Bodied (AB) Seaman MMC required.
Minimum of 2 years as AB with experience in government or DoD operations preferred.
Familiarity with underwater replenishment and small craft operations is preferred.
Responsibilities
Assist in the safe operation, maintenance, and cleaning of vessel decks.
Handle mooring lines, fenders, and towing gear during docking.
Conduct routine inspections and report deficiencies.
