Deckhands are responsible for building tows, handling lines and cables, and performing vessel maintenance and housekeeping. What You’ll Need

• Must live within 45 minutes of Baton Rouge, LA
• Valid TWIC card in hand prior to applying
• Valid driver’s license
• No DWI or DUI in the last three years
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
• Meet all United States Coast Guard physical and drug testing requirements
• Valid state-issued birth certificate and social security card
• Must be at least 18 years old
• No pending criminal charges or probation
• Ability to read and write English and follow written/verbal orders
• Not color blind
• Physical ability to walk 2-3 miles per day, climb ladders, lift/carry up to 75 lbs, and meet vision, hearing, and pulmonary standards
• Ability to use firefighting and spill containment equipment
